The objective of a landing page is to tell a user as quickly as possible what your app does, why it's going to improve their lives - and most importantly, where to get the app! Here are some tips to remember when designing your app landing page:

  • install Google Analytics and measure your conversions
  • use larger than life screenshots
  • show your app in its natural habitat
  • test your main headline for effectiveness
  • put a call to action ("Download Now!") somewhere above the fold
  • video, audio, rich content converts well
  • capture emails ("Sign Up for our Newsletter!")
  • get users to share your landing page on twitter etc
